B³ Software

About Us

B³ (pronounced "B Cubed") Software currently consists of a staff of one - me, Beau Benjamin Bruce, M.D. - from whose initials the name of the company is formed. I'm a self-trained software developer thanks to the prolific free tutorials and information found on the Internet. My computer skills include C, Perl, CGI, HTML, and CSS.

My formal education began at the Georgia Institute of Technology around the time the World Wide Web was born and my life was forever changed. I worked for several years as the webmaster for the Georgia Tech Athletic Association. I received my B.S. in Chemistry in March 1998. From there, I worked for several months at IBM's Education and Training department as their webmaster before attending medical school at Emory University. There my interests in mobile computing in medicine grew and many of the programs found on this site had their origins during my tenure there.

Currently, I'm a medical intern at Brigham and Women's Hospital and next year will continue onward to the Partners' neurology residency program at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
